|David T. Kamer, D.M.D.
Dr. David Kamer was born and raised in Oldham County, and is a 1987 graduate of Oldham County High School. He did his undergraduate work at the University of Louisville, where he had earned both National Merit and Trustees’ Scholarships, and went on to graduate from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1995.
A year after graduating from dental school, Dr. Kamer fulfilled his dream of “hanging out his shingle” in his hometown and began his own practice. Now, many years later, he takes pride in treating people he has known since his childhood and newcomers alike, and greatly enjoys the daily interaction with his patients.
Both the practice and the study of dentistry are important in Dr. Kamer’s office. Early in his career he trained under Dr. Larry Rosenthal, one of the pioneers of modern cosmetic dentistry. In 2005, David attended the renowned Medical College of Georgia’s Dental Implant Maxi-course, which involved over 300 hours of training in both classroom and clinical work. He continues his education regularly, attending courses on subjects such as the latest dental implant techniques, Invisalign®, endodontics (root canals), the most modern dental materials, and more.
David and his wife, Amy, reside in a busy Prospect home, raising 3 girls – two teenagers, Emma (soccer) and Claudia (lacrosse), and two-year-old Maggie (sport TBD), along with their two less active dogs, Brie and Bridgette.
